General Growing Guides and Videos
Here are our latest videos that were filmed by a company called GeoBeats. They do videos on Gardening, Travel, Homes and more. We had fun doing them and hope they will be helpful for you. We are working on more so keep coming back to this page to check them out. I can think of several more that we need to do—The Fuchsia Cut Back video and How to Make Your Own Cuttings. Just keep nagging me to get it done. Also, if there's something you would really like to see let us know and we'll do our best.

Citrus Leaf Miner is a new problem with young citrus. After your citrus is older the leaves are tough and the citrus leaf miner doesn't like them. Lot's of other insect do love citrus. Scale, aphids, mealy bug, whiteflies, citrus mite, You name it and citrus can get it. Best solution. A winter application of a light oil spray. Two times a winter, especially when your citrus is not in bloom.
Tip: Don't expect to ignore the weeds and still enjoy the flowers.Keeping the weeds down are a really important part of keeping out those pesky insects that bring in diseases and virus so watch this next one.

Microclimates
Basic Gardening tools.
- Probably my best tip is to mark your name somehow on all your tools so when you take them to a community work job or you will get them back.
- Second, if they are small like a trowel, fasten a bright colored long ribbon so you can find it among all the weeds that you pulled.
- Finally, to keep your tools in good shape do what my father always did when he finished a job: clean off all of the dirt, coat the metal parts with a light oil to protect against rust and put the tool where you can find it next time.
