Seasonal Hours

Spring/Summer

March 1 to Labor Day: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Open everyday except Tuesdays. Closed Easter and July 4th. The nursery is a riot of begonias, fuchsias, impatiens, and every other blooming plant imaginable. The season's centerpiece is the Dig-Your-Own Tuberous Begonia field. Thousands of giant flowered tuberous begonias are putting on a show in our fields for visitors to admire and to dig the ones that delight them most. We also have an extensive selection of hanging baskets overflowing with this stunning flower.

Off Season

September and October.

This is the time of year our retail staff takes off. It gives us time to travel, find new plants, and just take time for some R&R. Meanwhile, Poinsettias are growing in our greenhouses and Pansies are being planted in the Dig-Your-Own field.

mid-winter season

November 1 to December 22: 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Closed Tuesdays & Thanksgiving. This is the time of year the Dig-Your-Own Pansy field opens. Digging begins on November 1st. You may come in at 8:30 a.m. and be ready to dig when the bell rings at 9. On, what fun! Poinsettias and other winter bloomers will follow soon after we open in November. Our poinsettias come right from our greenhouses to your house—no shipping, no sitting in boxes in storage.
