Evelyn's Notes:

Great for Hanging Baskets. The velvet red trumpet shaped flowers of Lofa 'Wine Red' flow elegantly from hanging baskets. This marvelous vine blooms early, and continues throughout most of the year.

Growth Habits:

Growth is rapid. Cut back occasionally to renew growth. Don't worry about the branches that wilt after transport, just cut off and let them regrow.

Shade/Sun:

Sun to part sun...most climates...frost tender.

Feeding and Watering:

Keep evenly moist, feed every two weeks.

Leaves are a soft gray-green. It has velvet red trumpet shaped flowers.

Container or ground?

Great as a basket. It can be trained to climb for a dramatic addition to any garden. Works well in patio containers, too. Not suggested for planting in ground because it grows too much.
