NEWs FROM WEIDNER'S
The 4 inch size fuchsias are really nice and there is a good selection. Not many blooms but we have photos. Take them home and enjoy a lots of blooms all summer long.
This year our Fuchsia baskets have decided to go crazy. They started out slow and all of a sudden, as if someone flipped a switch, they've grown to be big and beautiful with tons of blooms. We have a good selection of 10" hanging baskets ($17.95) and wood baskets ($29.95). If you are looking for a "younger" plant or one to put in a combination, we have them in a 4" pot ($4.95 each or 3/$11.75). The photo at left is Lisa. Click on it to see a big gorgeous image.

Exclusive to Weidner's. We are happy to announce a new product line here at Weidner's. Made in the San Diego and proceeds go to the "Wounded Warriors" program! Here is a link that will tell you more about the products with pictures of what we carry. At right is the double box that fits two mandevillas. Redwood bottoms and an excellent stain ensure years of use in your garden.
Did you know that Weidner's is available for Garden Clubs, Moms and kids, school classes, Scout troops, and other groups? Here's Evelyn teaching first graders about ladybugs. She's holding a bag of ladybugs and the kids have put their hands in. They're looking in amazement at the ladybugs crawling on their arms. The class from Capri Elementary had a great time. Baby Bougainvilla anyone? We have an assortment of 1 gallon and 3 gallon Baby Bougainvilla's right now. No, this doesn't mean little regular "bougies", this is a new hybrid that is the well behaved baby that everyone loves. Stays small enough to use in a container! If we don't have the color you are looking for most likely we can get it for you. The picture at right shows these wonderful babies forming a well behaved border.
Begonias. . . Begonias. . . Begonias. There is still a HUGE selection of Begonia's ready and waiting for you. Dig-You-Own in our field of Begonias or buy already big and beautiful in 4" ($5.25) and 6" pots ($7.95) as well as our popular 8" hanging basket ($16.95 except for Encanto variety which is $17.95). Upcoming classes and events include a Propagation Class, Succulent Design Class, and . . . drum roll please . . . for the first time ever, Evelyn will teach you everything you need to know to garden like a pro. The first class in this series is "Fert, Dirt and Squirt," fertilizers, soils and watering. (Saturday, May 26th, 10:30 to 12 noon) followed by "Good Bugs, Bad Bugs," know your friends and how to get more of them; know your enemies and how to negotiate a peace treaty. (Saturday, June 2nd 10:30 to 12 noon.) We also added a Fairy Garden Class on June 23rd. Sign up now these classes fill up fast!
